With the growing concern about the sustainability of the textile industry, these recycled socks are bucking the trend. We consume more than 70 items of clothing each year, twice as much as 30 years ago, and this amounts to more than 40 million tons of textiles being discarded each year. By using recycled cotton these socks are contributing to the 'circulatory economy', where waste is not thrown away but repurposed.
