Did you know that these beautiful baubles are actually made from papier-mâché? Waste paper is collected, made into a paste and formed into shapes which are dried in the sun, before being hand painted… making them very eco friendly. Papier-mâché is an ancient technique in Kashmir, India. Our baubles are a mixture of contemporary designs such as hares and squirrels in snowy scenes, and traditional Kashmiri designs. Buying these baubles from us keeps this wonderful art form alive and supports artisans in well paid work.
Another brilliant recycled product is these glass baubles in super bright colours. In fact all our glass baubles are made from recycled glass! They’re made in India by Tara Projects, an organisation which creates opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged artisans. They have a mission to eradicate poverty, fight exploitation, and fund education! How many other baubles do that?
